Some have asked for a copy of the note I sent to the VP-PEI about the compulsory browser page in managed computers. Here it is
Dear Dr. Gilpin-Jackson,
I'm writing to say I dislike having the SFU Faculty and Staff Dashboard placed as the default, unalterable home page on my SFU-managed computer. This computer is used at home, and it is disconcerting and intrusive to have this page pop up constantly during the day's work.
I therefore request you reverse this policy and let us select for ourselves the home page we prefer and is the most efficient for us.
