Remarks by the Hon. Katrina Chen Screening of the short film Limpiadores [Cleaners] Tues, November 14 at 2 pm in ASB 9896 Free Pizza (starting at 1:45) We must hold SFU accountable for its living wage promises and fight back for better working conditions - that means SFU becoming the direct employer of food service and cleaning workers. They won this fight at SOAS in London, and we can win here, too. We will watch a short documentary together Limpiadores [Cleaners] that tells the story of how they won. All workers on campus should have the same rights and benefits, so invite friends and allies. Feel free to drop in and out as your work schedule allows! ![]() Enda Brophy (he/him) Associate Professor | School of Communication Associate | Labour Studies Simon Fraser University | HC 3559 515 W Hastings St, Vancouver V6B 5K3 E: ebrophy@sfu.ca Simon Fraser University lies on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Səl̓ílwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) and Kwikwetlem (kʷikʷəƛ̓əm) Nations. |
