Thanks for forwarding this Baharak.
Just had time to have a look at the attached letter and click through to the Jewish Faculty Network’s page (busy few days at the end of semester!).
Hadn’t heard of the group till a few days ago … Interesting to see how these Jewish academic colleagues are addressing the Toronto situation and how they think about pressing issues including antisemitism and what they call social justice in support of
an ethical life.
I’m interested in the practices and consequences of political _expression_ in cities and in the politics of knowledge-production. No better place to find out more about Jewish colleagues’ analysis of those themes than on our own Faculty network. Thanks
again.

Dear Gerardo,
I thought you may be interested in the attached letter sent by the Jewish

Apologies for the JPEG format. I am sharing it from this
Twitter/X post. While this particular letter is signed collectively, over 170 Jewish scholars from across the country signed the Network's 2021 statement against the IHRA definition of antisemitism. You can see their names here:
All best,

Among other things, this article tells the story of tremendous abuse of police power in Toronto against a professor engaged in protest.
