[253] Your first assignment is...

You have four main assignments (details on the class web site) and one "compulsory but not graded" assignment. We call it "assignment zero."

Assignment Zero is a simple "scavenger hunt" type of assignment. To complete this assignment you have to send the instructor (smith@sfu.ca) an e-mail that answers the following questions:

    * What is your name and SFUID?
* Do you have (or have access to) a digital camera (or mobile phone) that can take video clips? * Do you use an instant messaging service (MSN, iChat, ICQ, etc), and if so which one? If you use more than one, which one do you use most often? * Do you have a blog or other personal web page (Blogger, MySpace?, Xanga, etc)? * Do you have a mobile phone, and if so, do you use text messaging regularly (more than once a week)?

Once you have sent that e-mail, print up a copy and bring it to your tutorial next week to confirm that you have completed the assignment.

Welcome to CMNS 253!
