[253] week 6 notes
Dear 253,
The time before the midterm (Week 7, February 23) is all but over.
And "reading weekend" is nigh upon us. Hopefully you are all there
for class and tutorials tomorrow - the TA's will be spending some
time reviewing the book and any questions you might have.
I will be lecturing about networks, network history, and network
applications. If you have been following the internet news in the
past two weeks you'll know that there has been considerable
controversy about "network neutrality." I meant to talk about this
last week (and that's why I was playing the streaming internet music
when you came in). I've put a couple of links on the course materials
side of the class web site if you'd like more information.

As usual we will be streaming the class live to the internet, using
the eLive software. To join the session as a Participant, click the
following link: https://www.elluminate.com/mtg.jnlp?
password=949619422 To playback the recorded session, click the
following link: https://www.elluminate.com/pmtg.jnlp?
psid=d1435220734.373635 (recorded session not available - of course -
until after the class is over).
In addition, I have added to my "podcast" site, which is pretty low
production values (in other words, the sound is crappy, and I will
never get a job as a radio announcer). You can subscribe here (open
in iTunes):

You should be done assignment 2 soon (I notice my web server is
having a lot of activity just now...). Details are
here:

See you in the morning.
