[253] Exam information - important, do not delete...

Dear 253,

I am sure you may not want to think about exams this morning, but here's a 'heads up' on the final exam:

* The exam is "take home" and will be distributed via WebCT and you will submit it through WebCT.

* Do NOT show up at the room/time on the printed exam schedule. Please.

* You will have (more than) a whole day to do the exam.

* I will post the exam on WebCT at 9:30am on the 18th of April.

* It will be due - no late submissions allowed - at 11:30am on the 19th of April.

* It will be long answer (short essay), with choice allowed (i.e., "do x of these y questions").

* It will be 2/5 from Wade Rowland, 3/5 from the lectures.

* You will be asked for integrating/reflective questions, not factual detail questions.

* You can use books, notes, eLive, whatever you like but NOT another person. This is to be your own work, done in private without help from friends, fellow students, etc. Do NOT copy answers from web sites or other material you find... this is to be your own work.

* Anything you cite needs to be properly referenced and quotations indicated. If you are unsure how to do this, refer to the citation guides on the library web site and take the "plagiarism tutorial" that is available on the library web site (there is a link inside our WebCT site). For the most part, however, you are not expected to be doing research for this - it is the kind of thing you *could* write in a 3 hr in class exam.

Good luck!

...r
