Over the course of last few weeks, we have discussed briefly how the velocity, or speed of an object is related to its change in position over time and how we can use that information to predict if a worm will escape from the chase from a duck. Although the equation d = vt gives us great ability to make predictions, it lacks the flaxibility to take in to account objects that are not travelling with a constant speed. In order to address this problem, the idea of acceleration was introduced. The acceleration is simply the change in velocity of an object over time. Please watch this YouTube video to familiarize youself with acceleration and to further you understanding in position and speed.
