Biography

Natahnee Winder is Navajo, Pyramid Lake Paiute, Shoshone, Southern Ute, and a member of the Duckwater Shoshone Tribe. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Indigenous Studies and the School of Public Policy at Simon Fraser University. Natahnee also has the honorable distinction of being the 2015-2016 Henry Roe Cloud Fellow at Yale University. She is currently working on an expansion of Colliding Heartwork, a framework she developed to analyze and create space for collective and individual healing from the intergenerational impacts of the residential school legacy on Turtle Island.
