Research Interests

Dr. Nathalie Sinclair's primary research interests focus on the consequences of embodied cognition in mathematics thinking and learning. She studies the role of the aesthetic in the development of mathematics as a discipline and in the understandings of both research mathematicians and school learners. Dr. Sinclair also investigates the ways in which digital technologies–and dynamic geometry software in particular–change the way people think, move and feel mathematically.
