Lorne Davies Complex Renewal Project: East Gym Closure starting August 15
Work continues for the Lorne Davies Complex (LDC) renewal project. Starting August 15th, East Gym will be temporarily closed to the community during the duration of project, following previous updates and closures including: the swimming pool, general change rooms and Athletics and Recreation administration offices.
Elevator access near the pool will also be closed. Users with accessibility needs can take the stair lift between the Central and West Gym to access level 100, and the West Gym elevator to access levels 0 & 00.
Accessible Routes to access Lorne Davies Complex West, the Stadium, or Athletics Admin Offices
Arriving by Public Transportation
Take the Transportation Centre elevator from street level to 200 level. Take the route west along the south corridor. To go back down to LDC 0, 00 (Stadium), 100, take the stair lift between Central Gym and West Gym.
Arriving by Vehicle
Park in the West Mall Centre Parkade (Level P3) or Visitors Parkade (Level 200) for same floor access to LDC 0, 00 (Stadium), 100. To go back up to LDC 200, take the stair lift between West Gym and Central Gym.
Please take extra care when walking around the construction zone and be sure to follow signage directions and route changes. Construction is slated to complete by summer 2025.
