Apart from watching movies & rugby year round, my time was filled for many years with working our seven acres on Salt Spring Island. As a believer in the 100-yard diet, I've raised a wide range of vegetables & fruit as well as hops and Red Fife wheat - a heritage variety that used to grace the Canadian Prairies well over a century ago. I rehabilitated our fields and was able to grow hay for neighbours to feed their animals with. With retirement in 2024, I relocated to Nova Scotia, where I've enjoyed roaming the province and exploring the sights & sounds of the Atlantic coast.
