Attend your first course meeting. Typically, the instructor will introduce the course, provide some course policies, and divvy up tutorials (it's a good idea to have your schedule handy).
Obtain a photocopier number from the Department Secretary.
Attend TA Day. Information on TA Day will be emailed to you. TA Day is typically held on the Friday of the first full week of classes and provides a series of workshops and information and sign-up for benefits. Attendance at TA Day is included in your hours.
Attend the Philosophy Department's TA Welcome. This is usually held at the end of TA day in the Department.
Getting ready for your first tutorial:
Make sure you have room numbers for your tutorials (see http://go.sfu.ca for up-to-date information) and that you can find the rooms.
Teaching supplies (overhead markers, pens, paper etc.) are provided and are available in the mail room. The key to the supply cabinet is available from the Department Secretary.
