Certificate program in Interpretation and Translation
The Certificate Program in Interpretation and Translation is a 16-week full-time program open to both native Japanese and Mandarin Chinese speakers. The Program is based on the same pedagogical approach developed in the Diploma Program and consists of courses that provide students with the fundamental skills of interpretation and translation.
Individuals wanting to gain a basic understanding of the role of interpreters and translators while at the same time improve their language skills will be interested in this program. This program is strongly recommended for those students who are interested in taking the more challenging Diploma Program but still lack the necessary bilingual proficiency. Students who successfully complete the Certificate Program can enter into the Diploma Program without taking the mandatory screening test.
