We have scheduled four days of exciting plenary speaker talks, contributed paper sessions, symposia, social events and field trips. Plenary talks will take place each morning, followed by morning and afternoon contributed paper sessions.

The US Shorebird Conservation Plan Council will meet during the day of August 11, prior to the WHSG opening reception that evening.  This meeting is open to all interested persons.  Contact: Brad Andres

On Friday evening we will hold a dedicated poster session and social gathering. On Sunday afternoon we have planned an outing to Boundary Bay, site of one of the largest gatherings of migratory sandpipers in the world, with a picnic supper and spectacular sunset. On Monday night we will hold our banquet at the Diamond Alumni Centre on campus, overlooking the magnigicent Coast Mountains. For those who can stay with us an extra day, we have arranged a number of field trips on Tuesday to some local birding hotspots.
