Students need to figure out a topic related to the appropriate area of CMNS, and find an instructor / prof to supervise and grade their work (usually one medium-lenghth research paper). Some profs allow "groups" of one student; others require 3-4 students to work together. There is a project group form (blue) in the cubby holes outside the general office, or a PDF form here to be completed (by EACH student in a project gropu course) and signed by the student and the prof before you submit it to Lucie for registration.

Honours students must apply for admission to the program by 15 July 2004 with the CMNS Honours Co-ordinator (Gary McCarron), c/o Lucie, prior to registration.
Students who have completed CMNS 497-5 must inform Lucie of when they wish to be registered in CMNS 498-10 -it's NOT an automatic process

ˆ For further information about the Co-op Program in Communication, contact Marcia Shimizu, Erika Wah or Sangita Mudaliar.

± These courses require a CMNS form submitted to Lucie prior to registration.

Please Note: THE COURSES MARKED WITH AND ARE ADD-PROHIBITED ON THE goSFU REGISTRATION SYSTEM. THEY MUST HAVE THE CORRECT FORMS COMPLETED, SIGNED AND SUBMITTED TO THE UNDERGRADUATE ADVISOR (LUCIE MENKVELD) PRIOR TO REGISTERING FOR THEM. LUCIE WILL THEN REGISTER STUDENTS FOR THEM ONLINE. STUDENTS MUST PAY THEIR $100 DEPOSIT FOR THE SUMMER ON TIME -- AT LEAST ONE WEEK PRIOR TO YOUR REGISTRATION DATE.
