Important Convocation Information

Graduands who didn't confirm attendance
Graduands who missed the deadline to confirm their attendance through goSFU may still be able to participate in their ceremony. Participation is subject to regalia availability on the day of the ceremony as graduands must wear regalia to participate.

If you did not reserve regalia in advance, a limited number of gowns will be available for on-site rental. When you arrive, go to Step 1 and pick up your parchment, then go to Step 2 and head to the "On-Site Rentals" line. Gown availability is not guaranteed for those who did not confirm attendance before the deadline and availability may be limited.

Tickets
All guests who enter Convocation Mall need a guest ticket. Those without tickets can watch the livestream of the ceremony from the Diamond Family Auditorium (next to Convocation Mall).

Outdoor Ceremony
Ceremonies take place outdoors in Convocation Mall. If conditions are cool—please dress appropriately and bring a blanket.

Bag Policy
To support a safe environment, SFU has implemented a restricted bag policy. Guests are strongly encouraged not to bring bags or large items.

Only the following bags are permitted in the guest seating area of Convocation Mall:

• Clutch purse or belt bag no larger than 6.5” x 8.5”
• Clear plastic bag (including clear plastic freezer bags) no larger than 12” x 12” x 6”
