CBC Radio One's BC Almanac discusses the effect of pesticides on bee colonies with Centre for Dialogue Academic Director and Fellow, Mark Winston. Winston is the author of the forthcoming book, Bee Time: Lessons from the Hive, to be published in October 2014 by Harvard University Press.

"We're losing about a third of honeybee colonies every year...It's getting pretty marginal. Bee keeping has become a very difficult profession, and as a result, the pollination of crops has become problematic."
