bruce and lis welch community award and dialogue
The Bruce and Lis Welch Community Award provides support to non-profit organizations to meet their community objectives by subsidizing their use of the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue and its unique communication environment. This award also funds an annual event which engages the community at large with the academic community to explore innovative approaches to local community issues through cross-sectoral dialogue.
jack p. blaney award for dialogue
The Jack P Blaney Endowment Fund was established in September 2000 by friends and colleagues to honour Jack P Blaney, SFU President Emeritus, who saw the need for a dedicated facility to promote and support dialogue for people with diverse views to find a path to positive action. The Endowment Fund supports the Jack P Blaney Award for Dialogue and is presented to an individual who exemplifies, internationally, the spirit and programs of SFU's Morris J Wosk Centre for Dialogue. Recipients of the award will have demonstrated excellence and accomplishments in using dialogue to further understanding complex issues of public importance.
