Creating space for transformative conversations

February 28, 2007 - May 06, 2011

Canada’s World was a non-partisan initiative housed at Simon Fraser University's Centre for Dialogue and designed to articulate a new vision for Canada’s role in the world. The project was the most comprehensive citizen’s consultation on Canadian foreign policy in history, engaging more than 10,000 Canadians in-person and 200,000 Canadians on-line. It was implemented in collaboration with 15 post-secondary institutions and 40 non-profit organizations.

Between the years of 2007 and 2010, Canada's World traveled across the country hosting deliberative citizens' dialogue sessions and events on the new realities facing Canada in the international arena.
