The Mission of Facilities Services - Simon Fraser University is to effectively and efficiently provide stewardship of buildings and lands to support the faculty, staff, and students in pursuit of excellence in their individual and institutional, academic teaching, research, and community objectives.

Facilities Services is grouped under three departments responsible for:

• Facilities Operations
• Utilities/Infrastructure
• Service/Operations
• Maintenance

The Chief Facilities Officer also serves as University Architect and is charged with preserving the University's architectural integrity and vision. Core values like sustainability, healthy living, community building, collaboration and inclusion, transportation management and urban renewal are all important considerations in Facilities Services mission of strategic planning and management of campus facilities and future growth.
