BACKGROUND INFORMATION
To determine the most suitable locations for a dance studio it requires background knowledge of both the Lower Mainland and highland dancing. Because of my involvement in the highland dancing community I have access to the appropriate people and the information that is necessary to conduct this analysis. There are six studios located in the Lower Mainland and each of the teachers provided a list of the most important characteristics of the students and of the families that attend their studios. The data below (some of the results) along with intuition lead to the determination of factors and constraints used in the study. Some of the factors mentioned could not be included in the final analysis.
