Data Conversion

All of the data was converted to Idrisi raster format. On most occasions this only required one step from Shapefile format to raster, but two of the layers needed to be changed from .e00 format into shapefiles before conversion to Idrisi. The resolution chosen for the raster images is 500 feet by 500 feet cells.

Lambert Conformal Conic projection was used due to the small scale of the area covered. The custom coordinate system was kept from the initial data and when digitized layers were created that system was used by creating a new shapefile on top of the example coordinate system.
