Module Definitions FROM IDRISI

ADD: The ADD module is only available within Macro Modeler. Its primary function it to combine the cells from two input images and output one newly combined image.

ASSIGN: ASSIGN module requires an input file which can be vector or raster with a attribute (*.avl) format file to create new images by linking the input file with attribute file. Ideal to use when dealing with large amount of data ie. from spreadsheets.

DISTANCE: DISTANCE measures the Euclidean and used to calculate distance between each cell and its nearest set of target features.

FUZZY: FUZZY module that evaluates the possibility that each pixel belongs to a fuzzy set by evaluating any of a series of fuzzy set membership functions. The Sigmoidal, J-shaped and Linear functions are controlled by four points ordered from low to high on the measurement scale. Can be scaled from 0-1 (Boolean) or from 0-255 (MCE) for more complex spatial analysis.

RECLASS: RECLASS classifies or reclassifies the pixel values stored in images, the feature ID values of vector files or the second column values of attribute values files into new integer categories. Can use equal intervals or user-defined classifications.
