There are always methodological and operational errors associated with any GIS project.  The list below were just some of the major errors that the project encountered.  Furthermore, it is important to note that this is a very crude examination on deciding where to locate a hotel development.  In reality, this process is much more complex with many other influences affecting the project.  Building a hotel is a very large project with high financial risk.  Therefore, many more criteria would be considered such as feasibility study, regulations and bylaws, land availability, design and planning issues, financial considerations and city council approval to ensure a successful venture.

1)  The biggest problem encountered during this project has to be the lack of experience and working knowledge with the issues.  The criteria chosen were pretty general, if I had a more complete understanding of the real issues then a more thorough investigation would have been performed.

2)  The lack of experience working with the Idrisi program was another setback.  I was hesitant in making my project too complicated because I was afraid the scope of analysis might be too great for me to handle.  With more understanding, knowledge and experience a more complex and thorough analysis would have been performed.

3)  The buffer operation parameters were not scientific only, I basically used arbitrary parameters because I do not know what kind of parameters are appropriate.  I am very sure there must a more scientific method for determining these parameters.
