| Analysis of potential avalanche hazard for North
Vancouver prompted further interest to investigate the determination of
optimal back country ski regions. The primary focus of the analysis was
to provide cartographic output of regions that possessed a combination
of low to moderate hazard level, with reasonable access from established
trail systems. Further, regions must possess adequate elevation to
ensure that snow pack and slope facilitate activities.
