This project contains a spatial analysis based on two aggregation methods. First, constraint mapping through boolean multi-criteria evaluation was conducted on the GVRD, in order to find which municipality was the best suited to gain a new Gap store. The material used for this evaluation were taken from the 1996 files of Statistics Canada and focused on the following four criteria per municipality: aged between 0 - 14, aged between 14-24, household income, andunemployment rate. Second, another multi-criteria evaluation was conducted, based on a weighted linear combination, involving four new criteria within only the municipality of Burnaby. Additional files used, came from the Center for the Study of Commercial Activity, the section of Ryerson Polytechnic University with which I was employed this Summer. These MS excel files contained 1999 - 2000 mall and store information. Finally, some base raster and vector files that were supplied to the Geog.355/data folder were also used as a part of my data.
