RESULTS

Depending on the time of day ambulances and fire engines will have different response times to each of the schools. Below is the Zone 1 response times for Alexander Humbolt School. It is easy to see which Firehalls or hospitals fall into each 5 minute interval. From these two depictions emergency personnel could estimate the time it would take for secondary or backup emergency response units to reach the school.

Below are tables with the estimated response times for both hospitals and firehalls depending on the time of day (i.e. Zone 1, Zone 2, and Zone 3). The number of response units which could respond to a call in under 25 minutes decreases as the traffic increases. I would be most important to apply this information to those emergencies which happen during peak traffic hours, when resources are at thier lowest.
