This page attempts to show the processes I went through while working on the project. It all started with digitized contours: ![]()
Followed by a TIN
And then the slope analysis

The next layout is 2 resonable routes or varrying lengths for a novice rider to try out. The route starts have beem marked in yellow to indicate starting places. Its important to note that these were fairly carefully planned intensionally using definate nodes to insure places visited and trails riden.
This was one of the first routes that used minimal nodes and least cost paths to indicate paths to take. You'll note that the path has a tendency to go around rather than going over.

It is important to note that is was for these cases that the cost of travelling over a road was greatly increased to as to minimize the time on the road and increase the time on the trails.
This last image is a 3D profile of the mountain from the east side giving people and idea of what it looks like from afar.
