The Interactive Mapping System (IMS) is an internet map service that allows any computer user with internet access to customize maps specific to his or her needs, and to analyze a wealth of different data associated with those maps. It provides users with online mapping capability and access to published data sets. Users can customize maps and analyze associated data by combining different map "layers," or "themes." The IMS offers tools for viewing, navigating, and querying spatial and attribute data.

In this project, two internet map services are being setup to let the public and community have an interactive experience of GIS The first internet map service is “The Squamish Nation Territory Interactive Mapping Service” which is a java version of ArcIMS. The second internet map service is “The Draft of Future and Occupancy Study Image Map Service” which is an html version of ArcIMS.
