Event Recording and Livestreaming
Setup and on-site support of video recording and livestreaming technology for internal events and conferences at the university
IT Services provides support for live video recording and streaming of on-campus events. We will stream to SFU's website and publish vidoes for on-demand viewing.

Best Practices and Recommendations
- Live streaming is a great medium to engage huge audiences. However, for smaller target audiences (e.g. less than 100 participants), you may want to consider video conferencing via SFU Zoom or video recording for on-demand viewing.
- This service is available for internal events; which refer to events to be viewed primarily by SFU faculty, staff, and students.

Requiremens and guidelines
- We apply a fee-for-service model and requires a minimum 2-hour service call.
- Consent releases must be signed by all presenters and submitted to MECS prior to the event.
- ITS provides a single video layout and static camera shot during the event.
- Technician who starts and stops livestreaming/recording will monitor the event remotely for the duration of the event.
- Camera technician and Multi-camera setup can be provided upon request when a tracking shot is required (additional charges will apply).
- A cancellation fee will charged when a service call is cancelled 2 business days before the event date.
- No custom post-production : We will cut out the beginning, or end of the captured video when it is needed.
- No custom branding image/logo, closed-captioning, or audio transcription.
- On-demand video will be provided within 3 business days.
- Stream or video analytics are available upon request.
