SFU Enterprise Systems
SFU operates the Oracle (PeopleSoft) suite of Enterprise Applications. The Enterprise Systems group consists of both functional analysts and technical developers who are responsible for the day to day support, maintenance and enhancement of four of the Universities major business applications.
- FINS - PeopleSoft Financials (General Ledger, Expenses, Accounts Payable, Purchasing)
- HAP - PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (Human Resources, Payroll and a customized Budget system)
- SIMS - PeopleSoft Student Administration (Campus Community, Admissions, Student Records, Course Scheduling, Student Financials and Financial Aid, University Advancement)
The Enterprise Systems responsibilities include:
- Day to day support and troubleshooting
- Working with various business areas to determine needs for enhancement
- Application of tax releases, service and maintenance packs
- Life cycle of development for all enhancement requests to the systems based on priorities determined by the business areas
- Participate in major projects impacting the Oracle/PeopleSoft ERP suite
