The Dodge Group

Welcome to the Dodge group at Simon Fraser University. We use lasers to study the optical properties of a wide variety of materials, including high-Tc superconductors, magnetic materials, heavy fermion metals, and semiconductors. By using pulsed lasers instead of conventional, incoherent sources, we have been able to obtain a variety of new insights into the nature and dynamics of quasiparticle excitations in solids.
