Pyongyang Photos

North Korea

30 APR 1962 — Operating

P-1 Unidentified articulated Trolleybus. Photographer, time, and location, and make of the trolley are unknown. The trolley is obviously a newer design.

P-2 Articulated trolley 116 in the upper photo. A rigid and an articuated trolleybus in the lower photo. One of them is #164. Both are unidentfied. Note the peculiar mast arms in the upper photo. Apparently, there is no standard fleet paint scheme. Courtesy TrolleyMotion.

P-3 An unidentified trolley at an undisclosed location. 2009.

P-3 A new articulated trolleybus for Pyongyang. No one seems to be sure about the manufacturer. Korean built, Chinese built or shared construction. It is planned to replace all current trolleybuses with this model. Photo by Kernbeisser. 2 MAR 2010.

Video of trolleybuses (in Korean, it is uncertain that the city is Pyongyang, but it is certainly the most likely city)

Video of Pyongyong 1 (some trolleybuses in the background [barely])

Video of Pyongyong 2 (a slightly better shot of a trolleybus and overhead)
