Homeless elderly
Gerontology graduate student Philip Middleton received a Canada Graduate Scholarship to research the homeless elderly—the fastest growing group of homeless people in Canada.

Middleton will conduct his research—with a specific focus on gender differences—through SFU’s Gerontology Research Centre, which investigates individual and population aging, and consults on research design and program development and evaluation.

Canada Graduate Scholarships are offered by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), an arm’s-length federal agency that promotes and supports university-based research and training in the social sciences and humanities.
