option(s): specifies the options that control the behavior of and information about formats and informats.

Details

The FORMAT procedure enables you to define your own informats and formats for variables.

Under OpenVMS, temporary formats and informats are stored in the temporary catalog FORMATS.SASEB$CATALOG in your WORK data library.
