REEL 72 COMMENTARY

1. Creek flowing through culvert under dirt road. Very nice gurgly sounding creek. Some wind in long grass audible as high hiss above creek.

2. Faster flowing river, with many different gurgles in all parts of the frequency spectrum. Nice sounding river. Very relaxing. Occasional wind on microphone.

3. Strong wind in trees (evergreens). Constant crescendo-decrescendo in long waves. Extremely quiet otherwise. It sounds as if recordists filtered out all the microphone wind while recording.

4. Same as above. A few birds, very high "peeps". Distant squirrel (only audible on headphones, 4'15"). Both takes probably too quiet to be useful for anything.

5. Small brook running off marsh at end of lake. Nice and gurgly, gently moving water, extremely relaxing water sounds. No fast, high, hissing water sounds at all. Wind on microphones (3'00") and in nearby grass. Jet appears at 9'30", is gone by 11'15".
