REEL 14 COMMENTARY

1/2. In this quiet reverberant space the cash register has a nice, clear ring.

3. Can't get machine started.

4. Good close-up recording; nice rhythm between bell and hum of machine, very attractive because of the clear ambience in which the sound occurs. This take and all following takes include recordists' responses to the machine games.

5. opens with recordist asking owner how to play it. It has a different bell.

6. Seems like a very noisy game in this quietness. Great!

7. Patty Huse at the wheel laughing irrepressibly. Strange sounding machine. Great take.

8. Good rhythms and bell sounds in interaction with each other.

1'25" end of our game.

1'40" end of other games.
