HiretheWorld makes list of top innovative B.C. companies

A SFU Venture Connection alumni company has been recognized as one of British Columbia’s 20 Most Innovative Companies by BC Business Magazine.

HiretheWorld, co-founded in 2009 by Beedie School of Business alumnus Terry Beech and School of Computing Science alumnus Arash Afrooze, allows employers to hire remote workers on a per project basis to tackle anything from programming and design to bookkeeping and copywriting. HiretheWorld’s third founder, Terry’s twin brother, Doug Beech, is a graduate of Vancouver Island University.

HiretheWorld was an early participant in the Venture Connection incubator program and is a current participant with VentureLabs, enabling the firm to receive expert mentorship and business acceleration support and services as it grows.
