Although the concepts of art and the Internet, of linear text and hypertext, and of book and computer may be seemingly antithetical notions, they may also be electronically integrated and in this way form a new media reality. This web site creates such a new reality for a text I have written for a graduate seminar, English 808: Theoretical Approaches to Print Culture at Simon Fraser University. First of all, this new reality decreases the distance between the hypertext and print text. Furthermore, it also decreases the distance between the content and form of my essay: not only does my text focus on deformity but also I as the author, deform the text by rewriting it with a form of new electronic expression.  Therefore, the web site creates a new context for my argument.
