Y2K Planning

Good Morning Everyone

Haven't seen much activity on the listserv lately, so here is a
question for you all. We are starting to prepare a contingency plan
for the upcoming Y2K. No-one seems to know for sure what exactly is
going to happen, however, I believe that one should be prepared
nonetheless.

Therefore, we are preparing a contingency plan based on scenarios
that we may be without hydro, water or gas for hours, days or weeks,
and which would impact critical systems, e.g., animal care areas,
walk-in freezers, alarm systems, communications systems, heating,
etc.

Are any other Universities preparing similar plans, or are you
assuming that your existing contingency plans will cover the Y2K
scenario. I would welcome hearing from any of you, privately or on
the listserv, with suggestions, ideas or comments.

Thanks

Mike
