    Arrangements

I have confirmed the field trip to the Pacific Environmental Science Centre:

THURS NOV 9 at 2pm. Tour takes about 1hour.

Will participants indicate if they have vehicles, can double up, or need a ride, as we have done with the balloons. There is plenty of parking, but maybe we should be good environmentalists, and economists, and take as few cars as reasonable. I may be coming directly from off campus, myself. The location is over the second narrows bridge, take the immediate exit signed to Deep Cove, and proceed along the road you are on, which is the Dollarton Highway, ignoring any turnings, for about 2km, I think. It is a new complex set back from the road on the right hand side, and may be best recognized as opposite an old decrepit emporium called the Crab Shack on the left hand side of the road in an ample parking area. Address of the PESC is 2645 Dollarton Highway. Let's meet there a bit before 2pm, at the main entrance. If any of you are birders you may want to bring binoculars and do a bit of birding the Maplewood Flats marsh on the doorstep, before or after the tour, if it is acceptable weather. The marsh is now a sanctuary, thanks to a cooperative agreement with Environment Canada, and the Port of Vancouver, when the PESC was established at this site.

    9. Xenon Industrial Air Quality Testing - Derek Sutton (dsutton@sfu.ca)
    CANCELLED
  • Edward Lai (ALT)
  • Wilson Lee (ALT)
  • Katrina Ling (ALT)
