Re: Zimbra calendaring and the President's office

Frances,

Our university used to have two calendaring systems -- one on the academic side (Sun One Calendar) and one on the administrative side (Groupwise) and it was our president who said that we had to standardize on one system.  A committee/task force was formed and the final choice was Zimbra.  Natually, the groupwise users and the SunOne users (i.e., everyone) was unhappy because the system they were on was not chosen.  In the long run, I think Zimbra was the best choice since everyone has to learn a new system at the same time.

So far, I think our president's office has adapted well.  I don't think that they wouldnt have any problem if you wanted to contact them directly.  If you're interested in some contacts, drop me an email.

Fred

Subject: Zimbra calendaring and the President's office

Hello Zimbra higher ed sites, I would appreciate knowing what your key corporate offices' experiences are with Zimbra calendaring, or whether they are even using it. (If not, what are they using?)

Our President's office is currently having a melt-down after a month or so of trying to use it!

Thanks in advance for any info.

Frances
