Conference Tracks

The theme for ISCRAM 2012 is: “integrative and analytical approaches to crisis and emergency management information systems.” Integration does not only encompass the seamless interchange of critical and relevant data between technological platforms but also between practitioners at the different stages of emergency management (preparedness, response, recovery, and mitigation). Analytic approaches imply the use of sound scientific principles to guide and optimize the development of technology for crisis and emergency management. Both, integration and analytics present practical and technical challenges for scaling-up current crisis response and emergency management information systems.

Conference Tracks

We welcome proposals for workshops (pre-conference) and panels, for sessions that highlight collaborations between industry and academia, and for sessions that encourage creative forms of interaction between session participants and attendees. There are also opportunities for submitting work-in-progress papers, practitioner papers, and demonstrations.

Work in progress papers are aimed at showing exciting new work that is in an early stage and not yet completed but which can benefit from discussion with colleagues. The papers may report on first results of new findings or other types of innovative or thought-provoking work relevant to the ISCRAM community.

Full papers report on previously unpublished, original and completed.
