Internal Deadline Information for NSERC SPG for Networks and Projects (NSERC D/L April 1, 2016)

Dear NSERC Researchers,

 

With regards to the upcoming NSERC Strategic Partnership Grants for Networks and NSERC Strategic Partnership Grants for Projects, the NSERC deadline is Friday April 1, 2016. However, the ORS internal grant deadline is Tuesday March 29, 2016 at 9:30am (the internal deadline has been pushed forward due to the statutory holidays on Friday March 25 and Monday March 28). A completed and signed SFU Funding Application Signature Sheet must be sent to ORS prior to the internal deadline and your application should be in submit mode as well.

Meeting the internal deadline gives ORS staff time to review the application for compliance with the funding agency's requirements, for errors or omissions to be caught in the review process, and for you to correct them. There is no need to request an extension to the internal deadline since not meeting it will only result in your application potentially not receiving a final review. It will still be forwarded on to the agency on the deadline day (provided you put your application into submit mode).

 

A review of any applications submitted after the internal deadline will only be conducted if time permits. Please ensure that your SFU signature sheet is received by our office ASAP (via e-mail to ors@sfu.ca).
