Tom Crew
Based in Vancouver, Tom Crew’s work embodies the raw nature of the art form while incorporating a minimalistic and modern feel to the environment his pieces occupy. Tom found his passion for pottery in 1972 where he explored the medium through self-directed practice. Currently, Tom has his ceramics featured at the Princessehof Ceramics Museum in Leeuwarden, one of the most prestigious institutions for presenting historical and contemporary ceramics of all shapes and sizes. Specializing in porcelain, Tom has the skill to manipulate clay into clean, modern, and practical mugs, vases, bottles, and many more. Tom continues to create beautiful and modest products - ones that bring joy to everyday life, created with ingenuity and respect for tradition.
ORIENTO
Originally from Jiangxi, China, ORIENTO merges her roots with the colorful and eccentric influences of Venice, Italy where she's lived and worked since 2002 until she moved to Vancouver in 2015. ORIENTO's art celebrates vitality and flow, capturing the energy of different cultures in her pieces. Her work has appeared in exhibitions across the globe, including Barcelona, Boston, and Jiangxi. She excels at handcrafted ceramic sculptures, product design, and has a vast knowledge of ceramic engineering which helps her create unique, unconventional, and distinctive pieces. ORIENTO continues to captivate through her storytelling created from her ceramics.
