Background
Back in 2012, I started out my post secondary education at Simon Fraser University (SFU). Like most high school graduates I went into the experience a little lost, making my way through by taking classes that sounded interesting or that I had been good at in highschool. Eventually I stumbled onto computer science, which nurtured my interest in problem solving and critical thinking in a technical way. Computer science offered me the ability to design and create systems through a language and I was immediately captivated.
I realized, as I continued pursuing my post-secondary degree, I wasn't only concerned about the efficiency of the applications that I was creating. I was also interested in creating great user experiences and usable UI. I eventually found my way into an Interactive Arts and Technology (IAT) minor. IAT encouraged me to continue on with a user-centred mindset and brought my skills in designing and development to a higher level. Below I've outlined two of my projects, which mainly demonstrate my abilities as a programmer but also sprinkle in a bit of UI/UX design skills.
