Inuit—Inuit Circumpolar Conference
Violet is a lawyer at the Ford Law Office, and a PhD candidate at the University of Lapland. Ms. Ford is the first Canadian woman of Newfoundland and Labrador aboriginal descent and Inuit ancestry to become a lawyer. In 2012 she received the National Aboriginal Achievement Award for her outstanding contributions in the field of law and justice.
