October 01, 2015 In the museum in the Shapak School of Kara-Suu Village, Kyrgyzstan, teacher Bolbek Uluu Bolot tells his students about their heritage.
This museum was begun by IPinCH project member Abdykeev Bolot in 2013, and now incorporates historical and ancient artifacts, along with posters made by Kubatbek Tabaldiev outlining the historical periods of Kyrgyz material culture. Video by Asipa Zhumbaeva.
This initiative is part of the “Grassroots Resource Preservation and Management in Kyrgyzstan: Ethnicity, Nationalism and Heritage on a Human Scale” project, funded by the IPinCH Project.
