KEEP YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SAFE OVER THE HOLIDAYS

Email scams rise around the holidays because our behaviour changes in predictable ways—expecting a package, receiving an e-card from a loved one or hoping that someone we haven't spoken to in years is trying to connect with us. This makes us more vulnerable to scams that would be less convincing throughout the rest of the year.

Keep your holiday season merry and bright by taking the time to consider if those links are safe to click on. If in doubt, try using an alternate contact method such as text message or phone call to verify the email's legitimacy.

SFU's Semester in Dialogue is running a referral bonus to boost registration for their Spring 2022 cohort. Any referral that results in an accepted student in the Spring 2022 session gets a $25 gift certificate to Uber Eats. That's $25 for you and $25 for the accepted student. Have someone in mind? Now's the time to get them to apply.
