FILEEXIST('filename')

filename: is a fully qualified physical filename of the external file. Single quotation marks around the filename are required unless the literal filename is represented by a macro variable or a data step variable.

Details

In the CMS environment, the filename cannot be a physical name that was assigned by using an environment variable. See SYSGET for information on retrieving environment variables.
